DECLAN, 10 and Ava, 7 were hit with a double tragedy late January this year when their beautiful step mother Angela grew her wings at 32 years of age after battle with cancer,

Two nights after Angela's funeral while spending the weekend with their heartbroken dad, their dotting mum Adelle 39 was tragically killed. 

Her ex-partner Steven Storie has been charged with the alleged murder. His matter has been set down for committal mention on August 19. 

Declan and Ava lost not one but two mums in less then a week apart.

How can two young kids cope with this?

We ask ourselves this every day!

My brother James is their father and in amongst all his grief he has been a pillar for his 2 children!

A family should never experience this much pain. NO one should have to ever feel this pain 

These children live here in Caloundra now so they have family support.
