READER'S VIEW: Australia must be laughing stock of world

OVERSEAS leaders and heads of state must be in fits of laughter regarding our leaders here in Australia - five in five years.

They don't know who to contact if they have a particular issue in regards to Australia.

The Australian voters elect our Prime Ministers from candidates put forward by the various political parties and then if the members of the government of the day don't agree, they vote him or her out.

Why ask for our vote in the first place if they think that the general population don't really have any idea?

I did not vote for Abbott but I am positive that when we, the people of this nation, elect our Prime Minister, we expect them to run the full term of office.

One of the major problems within the Coalition is that the Nationals and Liberals have always been at loggerheads with each other, one trying to gain advantage whenever they can. They are united when an election is on the cards because as a separate force or party they would never get the chance to govern this country.

As I have said before, one of the descriptions used when describing politics: "the use of underhand or unscrupulous methods in obtaining power or advancement within an organisation".

And this will continue until we have people in place who really do feel for this country and the voters who put them there.

At the moment we are a sideshow with the rest of the world our audience.
