READERS DISCUSS: What colour car is most dangerous on roads

OPINION: "Black cars should be banned from the road. A study by Monash University in 2013 found black cars were 47% more likely to be involved in crashes...you shouldn't be putting the rest of us at risk because of your choice to drive a dark-coloured car."

We asked readers: What do you think? Do you agree, should black or dark coloured cars be banned from our roads?

Leyland Barnett - Will we have to ban the army for driving on our roads as their vehicles are camoflauged? Having headlights on, in poor lighting conditions, will help in avoiding a crash no matter what the colour of the vehicle.
Charmaine Ohl - If you do that, then why not ban grey/silver and lighter coloured cars, they can be hard to see in fog and rain when they don't put their lights on as well...
Mick Baxter - Im not painting my car who comes up with this crap black cars look good
Ian McCosker - Idiots! Doesn't matter wat colour the car is, if your on the wrong side of the road, the colour of the car isn't going to save you! How about slow down if u can't see!
Jessica Kirkwood - What about white cars in fog with no lights on, just as dangerous
Trish Arnold - So that makes 53% of people who drive light coloured vehicles more likely to be in an accident.
David Bardrick - I did a defensive driving course many years ago and it was red cars then, so do we ban differant colours as they become flavour of the month.
