READERS DISCUSS: Sunshine Coast's shopping wishlist

SUNSHINE Coast shopping fans have written their wishlist and mailed it off to the "retail gods".

We asked our readers what shops they would love to see open on the Coast after a major complex sold for $62 million.

Sunshine Coast Homemaker Centre in Maroochydore was bought by Aventus Property for $62 million.

The centre, which was owned by Australian Unity, sits on a 6.8ha corner site on Maroochydore Rd.

It is home to several major outlets including JB Hi Fi, Supercheap Auto, Amart Sports, My Chemist Warehouse and Trade Secret.

Dozens of suggestions were posted on our Facebook page, but Ikea and David Jones were two fan favourites. Check out the other suggestions here.
