Performers praised for bravery and talent on stage
AS EACH group bustled onto the stage this week for the Dalby Eisteddfod, the nervous excitement emanating from each performer was masked behind a closed curtain, shuffling feet, and opening notes on brass and woodwind instruments.
This round of the eisteddfod brought out the best in our performers specialising in the drama, speech and instrumental departments, with 17 different classes performed over five days.
From brave soloists to larger ensembles, each performer was given the opportunity to have their talent and effort celebrated on stage.
Adjudicator Howard Taylor gave nothing away as he watched the performers share their talent, but was generous in his feedback and praise after each number.
The celebrations continue next week.
The winners from each category will perform in a concert on Tuesday, August 20 at the Dalby Great Hall, starting at 6pm. Tickets start at $3 and can be purchased at the door.
