I'LL soon celebrate my 88th birthday and I shouldn't let the self-serving antics of our major parties get to me. But they have.

They are not interested in governing for the public good.

They govern in fear of corporate/union donors.

Fortunately Nick Xenophon has formed a new moderate political party - NXT, The Nick Xenophon Team.

My feeling is that Nick's common sense and commitment to the public good is refreshing.

NXT is going to get my support and my vote.

Despite the wrinkles, the walking stick and a body full of stents, I could even be called a poster boy for the new party.
