Physical culture champions headed for Toowoomba
NATIONAL champions from clubs across the state will be among competitors who will be performing on July 18 at the HumeRidge Church of Christ Auditorium.
Physical culture is a dance sport that has been keeping Australian women active for over 120 years.
It combines elements of ballet, modern dance, pilates and gymnastics.
The local competition will be the first of its kind in Toowoomba bringing competitors from the Gold Coast, Brisbane all the way up to Rockhampton.
Preparations are in full swing to host this full day event.
Ainsley and Brittanny White, both national champions, along with national place-getter in 2014, Jax Sherlock from North Point Physie And Dance will be judging the event.
Competitors will then move on to state finals where a small selection of competitors will be selected to compete at the Australian Physie and Dance National Championships which are held at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
Beginner physie classes are available for girls and ladies of all ages.
