Hunter St fire being treated as suspicious by the police

THE police investigation into the fire that gutted an abandonded building on Hunter St in Pialba is continuing.

A Hervey Bay police spokesman confirmed both the Criminal Investigation Branch and the Scenes of Crime unit attended the scene of the fire, near the intersection with Old Maryborough Rd in Pialba on Monday afternoon.

The spokesman confired the fire was considered suspicious.

He said the police had no nominated suspects at this stage.
