I am wanting to let the people of Wondunna know that we have a very blood thirsty dog in the area. Last week our neighbor came to our door around 3-30 in the afternoon . He asked how we were & we said we are OK. He replied "Well your chooks aren't. They are all dead. I have never seen such a mess in all my life. We only had these beautiful chooks for 3 weeks & they had started to lay. Before anyone asks was the yard secure..Yes it was & they were always locked up at night as well. These girls were so quiet & we never head any noise when the attacks was happening. The mongrel that did this pushed his way through. Five of our chooks lay dead in their yard. Another one we found petrified in our garden. She apparently escaped through the hole this dog made. This dog is sure to attack again & hopefully it wont be a small child. I am so angry as there are far too many irresponsible dog owners .A dog is for life to be loved. Don't just throw it a bit of food & water & expect it to be happy. I am absolutely devastated that this has happened. The dog was seen leaving our property. It is a large white dog. The owners would certainly know their dog had been up to mischief by the blood it had on its face. The incident has been reported to Council but if this dog returns here i will be ringing the authorities. It does not deserve to be around..this is a dangerous dog. I love animals of any sort but i do not like other peoples dogs especially causing trouble on my own property. This is unforgivable.
