FAVOURITES and surprises will all be part of the Empire Theatre's Daytime Series performance The Best of Empire Musicals which takes to the stage on June 20 at 11am.

This show will have singing and dancing from musicals including The Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Cabaret, Singin' In the Rain, and Wicked as well as a few surprise additions.

Directed by Alison Vallette, who is joined by musical director Matthew Collins, The Best of Empire Musicals will be performed by local artists, all of whom are no strangers to the stage.

Cast members include Shannon Gralow (Mary Poppins, Wicked, Kinky Boots), Justin Tamblyn (Mary Poppins, Wicked, Kinky Boots), Jess Berwick (Legally Blonde the Musical, Hairspray), Matthew Collins (Hairspray, Pirates of Penzance), Dan Stewart (Cabaret), Daniel Erbacher (Kinky Boots, Mary Poppins, Wicked), Ruby Crabtree-Spencer (Kinky Boots), Sarah McCarthy (Wicked), Cameron Taylor, Skyla White, Sarah Pascoe and Dayna Carter.

A complimentary morning tea will be served by the Friends of the Empire Theatre from 10am, with the performance starting at 11am.

The complimentary shuttle service will run to the theatre from Rumours International on Ruthven St. Parking at Rumours International is free for Daytime Series patrons.

The 2019 Living Gems Toowoomba Daytime Series then continues on August 8 with a tribute to the music of Dame Julie Andrews, Practically Perfect, followed by Back to the Tivoli on October 3 and Tenori on December 12.
