A DELEGATION from Blackbutt and Benarkin joined with RSL President Grahame Cuthbert to present a special hand-made plaque to Major Mullan, Officer Commanding Defence Force School of Signals, 7th Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare) - Borneo Barracks, Cabarlah, Queensland.

The replica Australian L1A1 also known as the 'Self-Loading Rifle' (SLR) in service between 1954 and 1990s was made by Grahame and mounted for presentation by woodworker, Liz Hollens-Riley.

The rifle plaque is a gift to the Electronic Warfare Centre in appreciation of continuous support for ANZAC Day services over many years.

Grahame and Liz worked for many months on the project ensuring it represented respect and gratitude to the service personnel who provide a Catafalque Party to guard the cenotaph each ANZAC Day and in remembrance of those who serve and give the ultimate sacrifice.
