Actions speak louder than words for Panthers coaches

WHEN people say 'actions speak louder than words' I will always associate this statement with the commitment, the dedication, the passion and the love one couple share with their U10 Junior NRL kids.

Steve and Leiara Dickenson embody your average Aussie family - hard working with two children of their own. Steve a labourer by day and a passionate coach by night.

Both Steve and Leiara have been coaches to the Springfield Panthers NRL Juniors for many years.

A humble couple they stay away from limelight and do all they do without expecting a thank-you or a fuss in return.

Steve and Leiara represent leadership.

They have been central in creating an unbelievable NRL team culture on and off the field. This family represents the essence of Rugby League and go the extra mile to see the kids enjoy the sport.

They have made the last three years a life changing experience for the kids and the extended NRL family.

Let's peel back the layers of an evolved NRL culture and take the kids back to the pure passion, mateship and love for the sport.

To speak with the parents of the young team is to find a new found love for NRL, life long friends and diversity in cultures.

This is a truly inspiring team and we need more coaches taking it back to the passion, mateship, love and the spirit of the sport, like Steve and Leiara.
